I could tell you that time flies or that before we know it another seven years will have passed. That is what fathers are supposed to tell their daughters. I, however, will not tell you that. Time is not flying and it will not be another seven years before I know it. See, to me time actually slows down in your company. Moments are created that will forever be with me and that I will cherish for an eternity. This is a day to celebrate life and rejoice that you are my daughter and I am your father. There are so many things that I can remember about the last seven years that bring joy to my heart: first laying eyes on you, the first time I held you, the first time you said "papi", your first steps, your first day of school... So many firsts... Seconds, and thirds too! One thing amongst it all make me the most happy--your smile. It is a ray of sunshine to my cloudy mornings and the calm of my stormy nights. You are God's gift to me. I pray you can one day feel the same way about me. I love you baby!

Today it was my turn to blush. It is usually me doing all the happy bragging about how awesome you are and the many things that you have accomplished. Today it was your turn to do the bragging. As soon as you walked in to class you were excited to tell your teacher that Saturday it was your father's graduation. It felt incredible to hear the excitement in your voice because of what I accomplished. That sound motivates me to aspire to do more! I want you to be as proud of me and my accomplishments as I am of yours. I want you to be proud of your parents and what they do. I hope that this is just one more of the many graduations and accomplishments that we will have under our belts as a family. Thank you for making me feel like a kid.
